Winners from the final weekend of this years Whitchurch League competitions were Alex Salamino and Nathan Healey Malpas Sports who beat Edward Proudlove and Josh Warner in the final of the junior doubles 31-15 and in the two big cup finals we have first time winners in Hanmer who beat League champions Wem USC by 18 shots and Hadnall 2nd Division champions who beat third division champs Wrenbury by 6 in the final, All results under club team competitions.Many Thanks to Bridgewater for their hosp;itality.Mon Sep 19th

Following on from last night's semi finals where 4 players were identified as not complying with the dress code standard 1 from Wem BC and 3 from Whixall. despite being advised beforehand by email and instructions were also on the website. On this occasion the management committee have decided not to take any action as it would have no bearing on the actual final result.
Can i remind the finalists Adderley,Woore Malpas Sports and Wem BC that dress code must be adhered to on September 10th. The referee's have been directed to check dress code eligibility before players commence their game. As with all Whitchurch league merits and final stages of cup competitions anyone found not to be compliant will result in the opposition being awarded the match 21-0.Sun Aug 21st
Congratulations to Andrew Armstrong from Hanmer who yesterday won the BCGBA Junior Merit in North Midlands beating Bailey Rice Yorkshire in the final, Andrew who plays for Hanmer in Whitchurch and Market Drayton League and for Wales in Junior County.Mon Aug 1st
Winners over the weekend in the three merits that ran were Paula Healey Malpas Sports defending her title against Ann Owen Malpas Farmers 21-18 in the final, Curtis Metcalfe Ifton won the Under 18 merit beating Jacob Holden 21-18 in final , Will Brookes Audlem won the Under Consolation beating Josh Warner 21-17 in final. And the winner of Under 12 Merit was Harry Brookes Audlem who was the only entry.Mon Jul 11th

From an entry of 32 players the winners of today's St Alkmunds Trophy were Paul Bradley Malpas Sports and Jamie Brookes Adderley who beat Julian Goodwin Malpas Sports and Cedric Bancroft Woore 21-18 in the final.
The winners of the Consolation were Sheila Lloyd Malpas Sports and Darren Booth Victoria who beat Andrew Docherty AWC and Josh Warner Prees 21-16 in the final.

Jubilee Doubles Consolation Cup involves 18 teams, all clubs if in have the choice to withdraw from this competition if you log in and click the opt out button you will be withdrawn from the comp. Deadline is Tuesday 5th at Midnight after which the draw will be made alongside the main draw and Shropshire Star and Presidents Cup draws.

For those matches that had to be abandoned last night due to the Hailstones should if possible be completed within 28 days.
The games that were completed will stand and those that had started but not completed will carry on with the same players starting with the score that is already on the cards.
For the remaining games you are not required to use the players that may have been entered on the results sheet.
The only stipulation is that they must not have played in any other Whitchurch League game this week.

Winner of the first competition of the year the Norman Ford Classic was last years Individual Merit winner Jack Hewitt Malpas Sports beating Alan Boulton Addderley in the final 21-14 , Losing Semi Finalists were Louise Allmark Prees and last years beaten finalist Peter Hunter Con Club losing 19 and 10 respectfully. A good days bowling at Prees with thanks as always to all competitors and helpers/markers We raised £90 on the raffle which will go to the Air Ambulance. Wem Usc have accepted a place in Division 7 to replace Ellesmere B. The fixtures for Division 7 now include Wem USC B.Mon Feb 29th
Clubs can now enter their Jubilee Doubles entries online and chose to enter Shropshire Star and Presidents cup. Entries close 31st March.Sun Feb 28th
Unfortunately Ellesmere have had to withdraw their B team from Division 7. We are now waiting to see if Wem USC still wishes to enter a new team. If so they will replace Ellesmere B and all fixtures will remain the same.Sun Feb 21st

No teams have withdrawn so unfortunately we have no room for another team from Wem USC.
We have also been waiting to hear when the date of the referendum on membership of the EU is being held as Newport have to be playing away on that date because their club house is used as a polling station.
